A note from the Webmaster, Brian Sherrod/W5AMI...

I have had the pleasure of attending the Queen Wilhelmina Hamfest for several years and can't say enough about the enjoyment I've had there.  Even if you don't want/need to buy or sell anything, you should at least try it if you've never been before.  The fun, fellowship, comradiere, food, music and mountain air will most certainly intice you to return, year after year.

This hamfest has survived over 40 years because of those who have organized it, and how they do it, namely the Queen Wilhelmina Hamfest Association.  In addition, the dedicated hams that return each and every year to visit the mountaintop and all the fellow hams gathered there are, needless to say, what makes it the "best little hamfest west of the Mississippi".

It has been said for many years that the fest actually begins when the first two hams meet on the mountain.  Many gather there as much as two weeks before the hamfest begins!  So come early if you wish!

The closer September approaches, the more excited I get about coming to the mountain each and every year!
